The paint flow rate of the spraying robot and its influencing factors?

2021-06-28

Nowadays, the coating workshops of major car manufacturers generally use spraying robots to spray the exterior of the body. Compared with the previous manual spraying and reciprocating spraying, the robot spraying has a large spraying range, good flexibility, good quality, fast speed and efficiency. Features such as high and material saving.

What is the paint flow rate of the spray robot?

The paint flow rate of the spraying robot is the amount of paint lost to each spin cup per unit time, also known as the spraying flow rate and the amount of paint (rate).

What factors affect the paint flow rate of the spraying robot?

In addition to the rotating cup speed, the paint flow rate is the second factor that affects the fineness of atomized particles. When other parameters remain unchanged, the lower the flow rate of the paint, the finer the atomized particles, but at the same time it will also lead to an increase in the volatilization of the solvent in the paint mist.

The high paint flow rate of the spraying manipulator will form a corrugated coating film. When the paint flow is too high and the spin cup is overloaded, the coating film on the edge of the spin cup will thicken to a certain extent, resulting in the groove pattern on the spin cup not being able to divert the paint. And the appearance of lamellar patent leather, which will produce the undesirable phenomenon of bubbles or uneven paint droplets. Rubber molding machine automation

The maximum paint flow rate of each spray gun of the spraying manipulator is related to the diameter of the high-speed spinning cup and the density of the rotating speed paint. The upper limit is determined by the fineness of the atomization and the effect of electrostatic coating. Practical experience indicates that the coating should be input at a constant speed, and fluctuations in a small range will not affect the quality of the coating film.

In the actual spraying process, the spraying manipulator is different in the sprayed area of each rotating cup, and the flow rate of the coating is also different. In addition, due to the change of the shape of the object to be coated, the flow rate of the coating in the rotating cup will also change.

Take the spraying of car body as an example. When spraying large areas such as door panels, the amount of paint spit out should be large, and when spraying door and window columns, the amount of paint spit out should be small, and actively and accurately control the spit out paint during the spraying process. In order to ensure the uniformity of coating quality and film thickness, this is also one of the important measures to improve coating utilization.
